About me.
Caleb is a documentary photographer and darkroom printer from Birmingham who is currently based in Nottingham studying a BA (Hons) Photography at Nottingham Trent University. Growing up skateboarding and filming it somewhere down the line, it turned into photography, which was his predominant practice for a number of years.
In recent years, Caleb’s practice has shifted toward a fine art perspective of documentary photography. Finding the poetry in creation and using the camera to harness what is seen in an attempt to benefit it. The majority of work is shot on film, mostly being black and white, to capture the world outside of time and print it into a story.
“Documentary photography does not necessarily mean four walls of fact, but instead using a photograph in a body of work that compels and speaks of truth rather than to explicitly show it.”
